Colorful Changes

With fall comes change, probably in more ways than one but seeing all the colors of foliage can be amazing. Yes it’s true every season does bring change. Life is full of change and we all go through different and colorful seasons in our own lives!  None the less in September many of us are making some significant decisions to either start something new or to get involved in a new project or venture. It could be school, university, a sports team, music lessons, a new job or position or to volunteer in your church or community.

From September 2011 to this September I have been working on a new CD project called Unshakable with Creative Soul Records out of Nashville. There’s been a lot of preparation behind the scenes for a new season in my life and ministry….this is a very exciting change and I’m looking forward to this new season.

The actual CD Release Concert will be this fall on October 12th, taking place in Abbotsford which is basically in my local area. A few other concerts and events are also booked in the next couple of months and I hope that it will be a good and busy season.

Making changes or doing something new doesn’t always come easy, it can be stressful and sometimes you may even wonder if you’ve made the right decision. Never the less continue to follow your dreams and passions. Some of us don’t because we are afraid of the unknown.  Maybe its money that keeps you back and that can be a very real situation and I have also experienced this in my own life. If it is in God’s plan, then we need to take a step of faith. If we believe that it is God’s heart He will be behind it and we will see Him working around us to make it happen. If we are called to do a specific thing for God we need to trust Him for the results.

Many times I feel so inadequate and vulnerable, it just seems so crazy at times, yet there is such a peace that surrounds me and I’m very excited to see what God will do!

I have seen the faithfulness of God and trust Him daily that He will provide everything I need for what he is asking me to do.God gives us strength, the capabilities and wisdom to live out what he has planned for us to do. It’s up to us to use what He has given us as we trust and depend on him. So the biggest change that we can make is to do this, to ask God what it is that he wants us to do and how he wants to work through us in this new season.

“If you want to hear God's voice clearly and you are uncertain, then remain in His presence until He changes that uncertainty. Often, much can happen during this waiting for the Lord. Sometimes, He changes pride into humility, doubt into faith and peace”.  Corrie Ten Boom
If we need strength in this season of change this verse may encourage you from Isaiah 40:31
“Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary”. This verse has come to mind a number of times through this new season of change for me and maybe strength is what you need to make those changes in your life.

What kind of changes are taking place in your life at this time? Would you like prayer? How have you seen God’s faithfulness in times of change?
